Justine Gelfman is a playwright living in Brooklyn. Her work has been developed or produced by Williamstown Theatre Festival, IRT Theater, The Flea, Dixon Place, ESPA/Primary Stages, Pete's Candy Store, New Women Space, New York Fringe Festival, Kenyon College and Northwestern University. She has been a resident at SPACE on Ryder Farm, Sewanee Writers' Conference, Kenyon Playwrights Conference, and Access Theater.

Her play, The Technicians was a 2019 Seven Devils Playwrights Conference finalist, a 2019 Blue Ink Playwriting Award finalist, a 2019 Bay Area Playwrights Festival semifinalist and a 2019 Eugene O'Neill Theater Center semifinalist. Her play, The Thing That Never Happened was a 2018 Eugene O'Neill Theater Center semifinalist and a FringeFAVE at the New York Fringe Festival. She has worked with LCT3, Atlantic Theater Company, Upright Citizen's Brigade, Women's Project Theater, Cherry Lane Theatre, Ensemble Studio Theatre and Maven Pictures in various capacities.
